Physical Therapist Valerie Phelps opened the Anchorage doors of Advanced Physical Therapy in July of 2000. To address the needs of patients who were traveling great distances, additional practices were established in both Fairbanks and the Mat-Su Valley.
Advanced Physical Therapy is a premier physical therapy clinic. The physical therapists are specialty trained and certified in orthopedic manual therapy and diagnosis-specific exercise. On staff is also an exercise physiologist, who is a certified specialist in strength and conditioning, as well as two massage therapists who are certified by the Dr. Vodder School in manual lymphatic drainage. At the three Alaskan locations, caregivers and administrative staff strive to offer the best in promoting good health and wellness when treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries.
